Ojai Sulfur Hot Springs

Sam – you’d have loved this!!
This past weekend we took a trip to Ojai (CA) for some much needed R & R. Thanks to some locals at the hotel we got the “secret” directions to the sulfur hot springs (there are a few natural hot springs close to Ojai, but from what I found out this is the one closest to town and the one with the sulfur).
Off the beaten path (near the lake), down a trail, and over a bunch of rocks, hidden are a few of Ojai’s secret treasures. The pools mix with the river so there’s always a constant flow of fresh clean water. Last week I read up a bit on sulfur’s curative properties so I was anxious to check them out. Water temperature was a comfortable 100-105 degrees and we stayed in them for about an hour (did some great meditating). There were a few people there but because this place really isn’t well known, the traffic was minimal – plus the locals who were there were great for conversation. A must visit!
On a side not, Ojai is an amazing place with so many healing (and fun things) to do. If you go, be sure to check out FEAST BISTRO – Susan, the chef, is awesome and the food is really good!

It’s Amanda from the hotel. I’m so glad you guys made it! I love showing people (a limited few who I know will appreciate and respect it) this beautiful place. And I was thrilled to see your site and all of the amazing information on here, thank you!
